Our Story
Setlhare Guest Lodge has been a welcoming lodge in the heart of Ganyesa for nearly two decades. Originally founded in 1999 as Mandy's Bed and Breakfast with just four self-catering rooms, the lodge has grown into a beloved part of the community. In 2005, the Frylinck family expanded the establishment, building the current lodge, which now offers 11 comfortable en-suite rooms.
With over 65 years in Ganyesa, the Frylinck family is deeply rooted in the local community, providing a warm and homely atmosphere that makes every guest feel like part of the family. Setlhare Guest Lodge is the ideal stopover for travelers heading to Botswana or Namibia and a preferred choice for business stays in the Kalahari.
The lodge features a restaurant known for its delicious à la carte menu, with steaks and grills being local favorites. Guests can also enjoy the tranquil garden, perfect for unwinding after a day of travel or work. Conveniently located on the premises is a petrol station and takeaway service, making Setlhare a one-stop destination for both short and long-term stays.
Situated 70 kilometers north of Vryburg, Setlhare Guest Lodge offers a cozy, restful stop for all visitors exploring the beauty of the Kalahari.
